/ Spirited Bangladesh down India to retain title

Bangladesh U-19 team finished their ACC Men’s U-19 Asia Cup campaign in style as they outclassed India in the final by 59 runs to retain the title at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium today.
The bowlers showed great character in defence of a paltry total of 198 runs as they dismissed India for 139 runs in 35.2 overs.. 
Pacer Iqbal Hossain Emon was the pick of the bowlers, taking three wickets for 24 runs and had expert help from fellow quick Al Fahad who scalped two wickets for 34 runs in a dominating display. Azizul Hakim claimed three wickets for eight runs.
 
The young Tigers had tasted glory in the competition last year when they beat hosts UAE by 195 runs in the final at the same venue to lift their first trophy.
Earlier, Bangladesh were bowled out for 198 runs.
Rizan Hossan top-scored with 47, while Shihab James scored 40 as Bangladesh, posted a below-par score after being asked to bat first.

Farid Hossain’s 40-ball 39 in the latter part of the innings added some substance to the total for Naveed Nawaz’s charges.
Six out of seven bowlers chipped in with a wicket or two for the Indian youngsters as the Bangladesh team were bowled out with five balls still left in the innings.
Bangladesh had beaten Pakistan by seven wickets while India had beaten Sri Lanka by the same margin in the two semifinals of the competition.
